My First Navigation Lesson

2 Days - £99

This is the course you need if you've never had any navigation training. Aimed at the complete novice we'll work through all the basic skills you need to read common maps, plan suitable routes, understand how your compass works, pick the right paths to follow and all the other basic skills to make for a grand day out in the countryside.

Intermediate Navigation

2 Days - £129

Following on from the beginners' course you will learn more advanced navigation techniques which will allow you to be safe in the hills even when there are no paths. You'll be able to find your way in low visibility conditions (fog, rain, darkness etc). You'll be able to make better decisions based on more accurate knowledge of where you are and what is around you.

Guided Adventures

Do you fancy getting out into the more remote places that our country has to offer but perhaps don't yet have the confidence to make that step?

Perhaps you enjoy camping out in the hills and are looking for a bigger adventure.

Or perhaps you want to add an extra element of challenge to your trip.

We offer a wide range of possibilities to get you where you want to be.

As there are so many possibilities out there and so many regions we could visit here are a few of the more popular choices but the best option is to get in touch with us and we'll work out an adventure that suits you best.

Some Of The Many Adventures We Offer

Yorkshire Three Peaks - a full day (or night) of hiking covering around 40km over Whernside, Pen-Y-Ghent and Ingleborough.

Wild camping in Snowdonia - hike into a superbly secluded spot in the mountains, camp for a night and then hike out again. So many spots we could pick.

The Great Glen by canoe - a 5 day trip paddling along this iconic route from Fort William in the west to Inverness in the east. Camp spots along the way make this an awesome excursion.

The Welsh 3000s - can you attain all 15 3000 foot summits in Snowdonia in under 24hrs? Its a challenge to be sure.

Coast to Coast - there are many variants on this theme from the classic Cumbrian Atlantic coast to the North Sea in Yorkshire to the shorter hop from the north of Cornwall to the south side. Some single day trips by bike and some many days by bike or on foot.

Rock climbing in the Peak District - this area is a major draw for climbers from all over the world and we have it just on our doorstep. Courses available for beginner and intermediate climbers as well as coaching options for the more advanced.

If you'd prefer your adventures with a little more comfort then many can be arranged with indoor accommodation as an alternative to camping. Sometimes it is just nice to get back to a warm fire and a meal that someone else has cooked for you.

Obstacle Races that Create Heroes

Obstacle course races are an increasingly popular way to challenge ourselves and to do something a bit different.

We operate a series of races which you can find on our Hero Challenge site.
